Amy Abel – Physiotherapist

Amy Abel is a Registered Physiotherapist at Meraki in Motion. She completed her physiotherapy degree at Stellenbosch University in 2014 and has gained diverse clinical experience working across various provinces in South Africa, broadening her exposure to a wide range of patient conditions.

Her clinical focus includes sports injuries and rehabilitation, back and neck pain, pain management, and pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation. Amy is passionate about helping patients return to optimal, pain-free function through evidence-based treatment and individualised care.

She is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), a member of the South African Society of Physiotherapy (SASP), and is affiliated with the Sports Physiotherapy Interest Group.

As a sports enthusiast herself, Amy enjoys netball, swimming, and gym training. Having achieved provincial and national colours in various sporting codes, she understands the demands placed on athletes and the importance of effective recovery and performance-focused rehabilitation.

Amy believes that every patient presents a unique “puzzle,” requiring careful listening, assessment, and collaboration to determine the most effective treatment path. Her goal is to guide each individual toward recovery with clarity, precision, and compassionate care.
